Good morning! It’s Daniel de Visé with your Daily Money.

Donald Trump pledged to "bring back the American Dream" at the Republican National Convention in July. During last week's Democratic convention,Cyprusauction presidential nominee Kamala Harris saluted Americans "who work hard (and) chase their dreams."

But just how big do we need to dream now when it comes to our finances?

USA TODAY has put the "dream" in financial terms several times – even as recently as this spring, Jim Sergent reports. The GoBankingRates analysis determined the American Dream now costs more than $150,000 for a family of four, but that number differs widely depending on where you live.

Here's how it breaks down by state.

Lowe's backs off from DEI programs

Home improvement retail chain Lowe’s is retreating from some of its diversity, equity and inclusion commitments after receiving word it would be the next target of a conservative activist’s campaign against companies that champion DEI, Jessica Guynn reports.

The concessions include no longer participating in surveys for LGBTQ advocacy group the Human Rights Campaign. Lowe’s will also combine its employee resource groups for diverse employees into one organization.

The company said it plans to narrow its focus to safe and affordable housing, disaster relief and skilled trades education, according to an internal memo Lowe's shared with USA TODAY.

Who's behind all this? Read the story here.

Scenes of couples relaxing with takeout after moving into their new home are cliché. Why, we just watched one on an old episode of the HBO series The Newsroom.

Now, Pizza Hut is taking the next logical step: Offering customers in select cities a free Moving Box Table to provide a “quick and easy dining set up” for a post-move pizza.

“Moving Box Table” will be available for a limited time. It's a mini cardboard table that allows customers to enjoy pizza while moving without any of the hassle, Amaris Encinas reports.

Who knows: Maybe some families will keep the table as a moving-day memento.
